Jenny’s Do it Yourself Christmas Tips
Gifts should always come from the heart and should be carefully selected, because as a gift recipient you will immediately notice whether the gift has been thought about or not. Also the optics is an important factor, the price gives that a lot of work is in it! We talked to blogger Jennifer Schleich and she told us the top 3 of her best Do it Yourself Christmas tips for you!
Jenny's Tip Number 1: Homemade Spice Salt
Making spice salt yourself is super simple and tastes delicious. And the best? You only need two ingredients: Bacon and salt! Simply roast the bacon and puree with salt and then let it dry in the oven for 2 to 3 hours at 60 degrees. Then simply pour the salt into a nice little container and you have a super nice, homemade Christmas present!
A little extra tip: You can also make the salt with herbs according to the same principle.
Jenny's Tip Number 2: Homemade gingerbread syrup
Jenny's gingerbread syrup is also super tasty and easy to make yourself. All you need is 200 ml water, 200 g sugar and 1 tbsp gingerbread spice. Just put all the ingredients together in a pot and cook for 10 minutes. After it has cooled down you can fill it into a resealable bottle and give it away.
"Make fresh coffee and add the syrup so it tastes a little bit more after Christmas and you start the day in a good mood."
Jenny's Tip Number 3: Do it Yourself Gift Packing Tips
Jenny also puts a lot of effort into wrapping presents. A gift, which is wrapped with a lot of love, meets much more joy with the recipient and is directly perceived as more valuable. And you can give each gift an individual touch with only small things. Try plain wrapping paper instead of classic wrapping paper! You can use it in so many ways that it doesn't seem boring. With the help of a stamp pad and ink you can create many different patterns on the paper. For even more extravagance you can spray small branches or twigs in gold/silver or copper and glue them onto the gift. So your gift will definitely be an eye-catcher!
